Due to renovations, the Eagle's Nest is temporarily closed. Remodeling is scheduled to be complete in the Fall and we will re-open in January of 2011.
It becomes apparent the moment you close the gate behind you and start down the drive; you have entered your own private world. This is your place to renew, your time to reflect. Stay a while and let this tranquility surround you. At sunrise the morning mist pours off the mountain tops and disappears beneath the bluff. The red-tailed hawks glide at eye level on warm currents that rise from the valley floor. As dusk slides in on a lazy afternoon, watch headlights flicker down country roads far below. You linger a bit longer under a brilliant night sky, and there is peace on the mountain. This is "The Eagle's Nest" and it waits for you.
The newly remodeled cabin, located on eight wooded acres, affords total seclusion. While three walls of the living area are glass to offer our guests a panoramic view of the valley below; the gas fireplace creates a cozy place to curl up and watch the snow fall. There is a single bedroom with a queen bed. The full kitchen includes dishes, pots, pans, microwave, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. The television has satellite dish reception with a DVD player.
A multi-level deck surrounds the cabin and provides a perfect observation point to enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the wildlife that make the mountain their home.
The hot tub, located on the deck, is a favorite place to lounge, winter or summer. A large, heated swimming pool is also located on the deck. The pool is private and is for the exclusive use of our guests. The pool is open from mid May to mid September.
If you can manage to tear yourself away from The Nest long enough, there are ample activities in the area to entertain anyone.
